NETWORKS
We believe that CiC will become the fastest growing network of Christian networks in the UK by 2030.
One of the unique aspects of our work is the ability to meet the practical needs of an entire church network whilst not influencing vision, decision making or strategy.
CiC International's approach to Networks
At CiC International, we see Networks as organisations composed of multiple ministers or member organisations seeking affiliation with CiC. In addition to offering Network membership and its associated benefits, we also provide two forms of membership for individuals and organisations within these networks:
Accreditation for Individuals – Ministers within a Network can receive accreditation as Network Ministers. This designation affirms their accredited status within their Network while also recognising their affiliation with CiC International. Network Ministers may also apply for Ordination through CiC and take the title Reverend, enhancing their ministry opportunities ecumenically and in the public sphere.
Membership for Organisations – Churches or other member organisations within a network can become Associate Members of CiC. This status formally recognises them as part of a Network affiliated with CiC. For churches, this membership enables their congregants to access church schools, and eligibility to apply for chaplaincy roles within the regulated sector. The Lead Minister of such an organisation would be recognised as an Associate Minister.
By offering these membership pathways, CiC provides Networks with a structured solution for recognising and validating their Ministers and member organisations, strengthening their presence and influence within both faith communities and the wider public sphere.
Benefits of Membership
IDENTITY
Providing formal accountability and achieving a recognised standard of ministerial accreditation is expensive, time-consuming and complex. CiC is able to provide this vital service for independent networks, allowing them to focus on their vision and strategic goals.
CONFIDENCE
Some of the fastest growing church networks in the UK are either being pioneered by non-British leaders, or are serving ethnic minorities. CiC achieves respect, acceptance and understanding for our network members in the public and faith sectors - allowing growth and replication without unnecessary speculation.
SUPPORT
CiC is a network of diverse networks and we provide our members with a unique opportunity to share expertise, learn from and support like-minded pioneers. The dynamic spaces we create are a healthy addition to the formal, internal support structures often available to network leaders.
COST OF MEMBERSHIP
The annual membership cost for UK networks are bespoke to the needs of the network. To join CiC, a network must have at least five member churches, ministries or chaplaincies.
